The feeder works on the principle of a microchip embedded in a SureFlap RFID collar or a microchip inserted into the pet´s body by a vet. The microchip reader reacts to the presence of the dog or cat and allows access to the food. As soon as your pet moves away from the sensor, the lid of the feeding bowl closes and no other pet can access the food. For dogs or cats without a microchip, the bowl will not open. Three different closing speeds are available. In addition, the upper edges of the bowls are equipped with a special sealing, which keeps both dry and wet food fresh for a long time.
