Friedhelm’s horse on wheels pays tribute to Margarete’s great-nephew and former managing director Friedhelm Steiff, who was given a horse on wheels for Christmas 1939. Measuring 60 cm, it was his favourite childhood toy. As he once recalled: “I used to groom him, brush his mane and give him plenty to drink”. Freidhelm´s horse´s nostrils and mouth are emboridered in black and he has expressive safety eyes with dark detailing around them. This horse measure 32cm in height. As with all Steiff this horse has a gold-plated button in his ear, and white label. This item is a limited edition of 934 pieces and comes packaged in a collector´s edition gift box with numbered certificate of authenticity.
