HAGOPUR Duftzaun is a product developed in cooperation with the ADAC (German Automobile Club) for the reduction or prevention of deer accidents along roads.The foam can be used with the proven dosing device as well as with the supplied adapter.Duftzaun has been used in Germany since 1990 and has become indispensable on many road sections as a measure to reduce accidents with roe deer and red deer. Very positive results have also been achieved with wild boar. This system is also used with equal success on numerous roads in Austria, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Spain. 30,000 km of roads in Germany have already been equipped with Duftzaun. The result is an average reduction of 76% in wildlife accidents; in individual cases even up to in the correspondingly protected areas.Mode of actionDuftzaun is based on a special foam that is applied at accident blackspots. Exposure to UV radiation causes the fine pores in the foam to open, releasing the scent a composition of odor components from wolves, lynx, bears and humans.Adapter can be closed very easily by bending the capillary tube and inserting the end upwards into the provided "nose".For an optimal effect of the scent fence it is important to build up a continuous scent barrier between road and forest or meadow.
